At The Pointe at Lombard, friendly and highly-personalized
service will be an added benefit for our residents. Because there
are only 51 apartments, requests for assistance will be answered
quickly and efficiently with minimal interruption to the resident’s
routine. It is our pleasure to have our staff make life simple
everyday.
• There will be a day and evening manager on duty. The manager
may greet the resident in the morning with “have a great day” or
in the evening with “get a good night’s rest” – just
a reassuring way to check with the resident to see how they are doing.
Everything related to the management of the property is the responsibility
of the manager. Whether it is to listen to specific questions or
respond to a problem, residents will have an immediate solution.
For example, a resident may request accommodations for an overnight
guest, or maybe a private party in the activity room, or even flowers
sent for a special occasion – all of these things could be
handled by the manager.
• Activity, travel, and lifestyle needs are the focus of our
staff member who acts as a personal concierge. Do you need a restaurant
reservation? An airline ticket? All of these things may be done by
this staff person. A variety of events and activities within the
community are kept current on the bulletin board so residents can
participate in anything that may be of special interest. If a resident
is interested in the latest books, they can check out the library
for the newest releases.
• Our grounds and maintenance crew keeping everything humming
and pristine. From beautifully landscaped gardens to keeping up with
repairs, residents can be assured that the crew is on top of everything.
Some of their tasks may include: clearing the sidewalks and driveway
of snow in the winter, or maybe a resident needs assistance carrying
groceries from the car to their apartment, or even that heavy television
purchased can be carried to their apartment. A window bird feeder
can be filled so residents can enjoy the “feathered friends” – it
is all done quickly so tasks can be done with ease.
The friendly staff will always be around taking care of
the daily tasks which keep The Pointe at Lombard going. Sometimes they
may take the time to chat with residents about the results of the
latest baseball game, or maybe someone has their “brag book” of photos
of their grandchildren, or maybe it is a wave “good-bye” as
the resident leaves for their weekly hair appointment. Our care and
attention to all requests makes living easy at The Pointe at Lombard.
